New Dentist

We have been getting really busy for some time now and we are finding that our patients are waiting unacceptable times for appointments. We have been acutely aware that we need to recruit a Dentist who can uphold our high standards of care and have taken a very long time to secure this. As such we are delighted to announce that we had a new Dentist join us starting on Wednesday 24th February 2016 to initially work Wednesdays in the practice. David Bell graduated from Bristol University in 2001 and has considerable experience in both general practice and as a part time locum staff grade surgeon position at the QMC's Maxillofacial Unit. David's ethos fits in very well with ours and he also offers a similar range of procedures to Steve. We are delighted that such a well-respected Dentist is joining our team and our feedback from patients so far has been really positive.

We were all very sad to say goodbye to Jen just before Christmas. She had been with the practice for just 2 years and was one of those quiet, efficient people who just got on with the job, you don't realise how much they did until they're not there! Jen had moved out of the area, her journey across town was just proving too much. We wish her success in her new post.

But as one moves away, not one but two move back into the area.

Sarah: A qualified nurse, started with us in February coming from an emergency care practice. She was keen to find a practice where she could offer a high standard of care and enjoy looking after people. Sarah has a young family and works part time, she is very competent and has a lovely calm and friendly manner.

Alice: Will be starting with us at the end of April she both worked and trained at the Eastman Dental Hospital. She has a wealth of experience and training in a wide variety of clinical areas, in both private practice and hospital, and comes with impeccable references. We're sure she will be a great asset to the practice.

We are confident they will both make every effort to make your visit a pleasant one.

Hygienist-Libby Sullivan

Libby has been with us for a year now. She is totally dedicated to helping her patients improve their oral health as many of you have found. Very calm and relaxed, her enthusiasm rubs off on her patients and she is a very valuable addition to the services already provided by our long established hygienist Jane.

We have been placing Bicon Dental Implants for about 2 years now. The possibility of being able to place a Bicon Implant into a space where no other option is suitable (this often includes other implant systems) has opened up the range of solutions we can offer to replace missing teeth.

Our patients have been so delighted with the outcome that several have come back for more implant dentistry. Compared to other systems, the Bicon protocol is very straightforward and significantly cheaper at around £2000 per tooth

Ok, so we didn't realise how many of you would miss the fish. They're back!! (Well not the same ones obviously). Barbara has been shopping and we have a lovely new Biorb with purple accessories and 3 new Platys that we have yet to name. They are a bit shy at present but I'm sure they'll soon settle.
