Orthodontics

Not so long ago, if you had slightly crooked teeth and wanted to improve your smile, you would probably have been offered a set of porcelain veneers. Anything up to 10 teeth would have been stripped of the enamel and veneers, thin shells of porcelain, bonded in place that are the correct size, shape and colour to give a perfect smile. Very nice dentistry, very expensive, and very destructive with at best a 10 year lifespan before it needs replacing. In some cases, it may still be the most appropriate treatment (we still offer veneers), but there are now other, less invasive options.

Inman Aligner

This is a removable brace, designed specifically for correcting crooked front teeth only. Treatment is usually completed in under 4 months. The appliance works by applying gentle pressure to the teeth through spring action of the retainer. It is removable, should not be worn for eating, taken out for cleaning, and if you've got a special night out - leave it at home!

Bleaching & Bonding

Once the teeth are straight, further improvements can be made by tooth whitening and re-contoured by bonding small amounts of composite resin to misshapen teeth.

The combination of Inman aligner and bleaching & bonding often eliminates the need for more invasive procedures and so preserves your natural teeth.
